It is midnight in Tehran, but still the Iranians have not been silenced - their cries for freedom are as strong as ever. The events that have taken place since the Ayatollah Khamenei's crackdown on Friday have enraptured the world - so much so that the protests and demonstrations have survived the 24 hour news cycle are still grabbing headlines. While the complete media blackout in Iran has given mainstream news organizations virtually no access to the turmoil, the new media tools of Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter, have proven to be extraordinarily powerful in getting information out of the country. CNN has been reduced to having reporters "analyze" twitter feeds as the mainstay of their Iran coverage. The best coverage of the crisis has come from blogs that serve as aggregators of new media content - such as the one at huffpost , which has been updated with extraordinary regularity and accuracy.
